Your approval defines the boundary.

Before access, agree what is included, what is excluded, and which uses are permitted.

A controlled process.

Required approvals

A written scope comes before access. Only approved sources may be accessed read-only. Buyers receive redacted samples under NDA and with the owner’s approval.

Planned safeguards

A vetted third-party specialist is contemplated for de-identification. Encryption in transit and at rest is the target. An approximately one-week raw-file hold followed by deletion is intended. Provider, access, retention, and deletion arrangements must be agreed and technically ready before work begins.

Contractual controls

Off-limits lists are binding. The owner retains the underlying data. Use, duration, retention, payment, and any exclusivity are defined in writing. Exclusivity is never perpetual.

Remaining risks

De-identification reduces risk but cannot eliminate re-identification or confidentiality risk. Rights review may prevent a record from being licensed.
